Finding peace in the most turbulent of times can be challenging. Everyday this gets a bit easier for me. This series is the result of a very turbulent time in my life, where instead of trusting in life's path, I wanted to be in control and everything seemed to be spiraling out of control. Instead of striving for perfection, I tried to embrace life's imperfections. A sensory experience with color, texture and different materials allowed for me to process this time of my life. Art has always been my outlet for making sense out of nonsense. Reflecting now on this series of paintings, I believe even more in the idea that everything happens for a reason.
