Dwellings

What does a floor plan tell about a space?  The architecture of a place has always intrigued me - for its aesthetics and purpose.

Certain places remain vividly real in my memory, even though when drawn on paper and compared to the real structural drawings, there are variations.

This series explores the emotional experience within a structural space. The floor plans of four places that particularly left an impact on my childhood were drawn from memory, layered and the remaining geometric and organic forms are painted in a monochromatic color scheme (each color scheme pertains to the ambiance of the location). The alterations of size tend to be proportionate to the amount of time and memories in various rooms.
